VeriFone Tranz 420 Terminal
The Tranz 420 Mobile Merchant is an ideal credit card processing solution for use outside the normal retail storefront environment, with its built-in battery providing processing for up to 200 transactions without access to AC power, with an optional adaptor allowing power to be supplied by a car’s 12V DC battery supply. The Tranz 420 prompts each step with its easy-to-read display.
The VeriFone Tranz 420, which will accept all major debit, credit, and even private-label cards, can provide accurate and fast reports and receipts, using the integrated dot matrix 24-column roll printer. Slide-in optional expansion cartridges, with up to 256Kb of additional RAM (Random Access Memory), provide enough power to add new functions and/or to use larger applications.
The VeriFone Tranz 420, while compact and portable, can perform check guarantee, credit card verification, negative file storage, price look-up, inventory control, and draft capture, among other business functions. To support these functions, the Tranz 420 can be used with a bar code wand or a PIN pad as an entry device.
The VeriFone Tranz 420 fills all the feature requirements for fraud control and security in the bank card environment. It also allows speedy adding, updating, and creation of applications easily with VeriFone’s unique POS programming / terminal control language.
The Tranz 420, among other applications, is used by pharmacies, hospitals, and government agencies to help verify eligibility for benefits programs.

The VeriFone Tranz 420 has all the features of the Tranz 460 with the addition of a battery back up system. This system makes the Tranz 420 perfect for mobile and trade show merchants.
The built in battery system lets the VeriFone Tranz 420 process up to 200 transactions between charges. This unit will also work on AC power if available. With the addition of an adaptor, the Tranz 420 will even run on power supplied by the cigarette lighter in your car.
