If it detects a problem, a specific explanation code appears on its display, allowing you to convey the exact nature of the problem to the help desk. The CR 600 comes standard with an RS-232 port for communication through your TRANZ®, OMNI® or Everest™ terminals. It supports both RS-232 and RS-485 protocols, integrating with the major ECR/POS systems. As an option, the CR 600 also supports IBM ECR and PC keyboard wedge interfaces.
